Fundación Artesomos se complace en anunciar que la banda Desert Road se une a nuestro sueño

Desert Road es fundada en el año 2008 por Matías Taubas Oyola quien se encargo de la composición musical y artística del proyecto. Junto con Lisandro Diaz Dorigatti, quien ingreso como baterista, siendo co-fundador de la banda.

Más tarde durante el proceso de desarrollo de la banda ingresan los hermanos Frison. Mauro en bajo y voz, y Gabriel en guitarra y coros. Ambos le dieron a Desert Road un giro de tuerca lo cual definió por completo su esencia.

La gran variedad de conceptos artísticos de sus integrantes le dieron a este proyecto una característica distintiva, ya que cada uno traía en sus venas desde los riffs maestros de Iommi hasta las melodías depresivas de Cobain y Staley. Pasando por todos los géneros que incluyen desde el Rock n’ roll más crudo hasta su predecesor el Metal tradicional. La banda se presento en vivo en el año 2009 por primera vez con su primera formación en La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Luego de varios sucesos personales de los integrantes la banda, esta comienza una etapa de stand by por tiempo indefinido. Mientras tanto sus fundadores, Matías y Lisandro, continúan el proceso creativo de reconstrucción lentamente.

Después de varios intentos de regreso, finalmente Desert Road sale del pozo en julio del 2010 con nuevos integrantes: Tano Zappala en bajo y Martin Mancini en guitarra. Durante ese año la banda realiza varios recitales junto a grandes bandas dentro de la escena bonaerense como Dragonauta y Decenadores. Ingresan a grabar su EP de 3 temas titulado "My Road" el cual se encuentra online como descarga gratuita.

Luego de un tiempo de reflexion y cambios internos en la banda, Martin Mancini sigue su camino dejando el puesto de guitarra principal a Israel Paketh. Completando asi la formación con la cual la banda ingresara a grabar su album debut titulado "Sandstorm".

Desert Road was founded on year 2008 by Matías Taubas Oyola. He dealt with the artistic and musical composition of the project with aid from Lisandro Diaz Dorigatti, that joined up as the band's drummer.

Later, in the middle of the band's development process, the Frison brothers joined up as well. Mauro on bass and voices and Gabriel on guitar and choirs. Both gave Desert Road that which it needed in order to completely defince its essence. Each member provided distinctive elements to the band, for each had in their veins the master riffs of Iommi as well as depressive melodies from Cobain and Staley - Going through each genre including the rawest Rock n' roll all the way to its forerunner - traditional Metal. The band's first show took place in year 2009, on La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

After several personal issues of but not among the band members, Desert Road entered a stand-by stage for indefinite time. In the meantime, Matías and Lisandro continued with the creative reconstruction process slowly. After several attempts, the group managed to return to action on july of 2010 with two new members: Tano Zappala on the bass, and Martin Mancini on guitar. Throughout said year they played at several shows alongside great bands of the Buenos Aires scene such as Dragonauta and Decenadores. They now enter their study to record their 3-song-long EP, "My Road", which is freely available and downlodable online.

After having taken some time to reflect, and after some internal changes in the band, Martin Mancini continues his path leaving the lead guitarist position to Israel Paketh, thus completing the setup with which the band will start recording their debut album, titled "Sandstorm".
